Had two nights here last minute and we thankful to be accommodated. It was the end of our trip and wanted some downtime before flying back from Denver. Lovely cabin, loved the hot tub and location to Estes Park. Managed to do some horse riding at a local tourist stables which was also worth the money. Had kitchen facilities so we could take and make our own food. James and Jeanine were lovely and the cabin just what we needed.
Cabin had everything we needed. Rustic yet very comfortable. The private hot tub was the best. Loved the river overlook area. Clean and comfortable. Thank you for giving us our privacy and just letting us enjoy ourselves. Tons of things to do in Estes Park which is close by.
This place was wonderful! Very clean and cozy. Felt welcomed as we pulled in and were greeted by one of the owners. The beds were very comfortable. Beautiful views and loved the little chipmunks that were there playing across from the cabin. Owners were very nice and made the stay great.
Went for a spontaneous weekend escape and randomly picked these cabins. We were lucky enough that they had a last-minute cancelation, which allowed us to snag the cabin.
Eatlier that morning, I called and left a message that was promptly returned. The owner was very nice and polite. Making the reservation was quick and easy. Check-in was at 3 p.m., and we made it there by 5 p.m. The husband met us in front of the office and directed us to our cabin, number 8. He was super nice. Gave us a walk-through of the cabin and a quick tutorial on how to work the hot tub. He also provided us with some suggestions of things to do in the area and a couple of good places to eat, if we weren't cooking and eating in the cabin.
The cabin was clean, and the decor was fairly up to date for a rustic cabin. There were no weird smells, and it had been remodeled and updated. The hot tub was clean, and the deck was semi private. The deck overlooked the river, which was really nice.
We didn't go anywhere. We just relaxed in the cabin. The internet was slow, and we had no cell service, which we didn't mind at all. We came to relax and that we did.
The only downside was that these cabins were right off the highway, and our cabin was the closest to the highway. There was a constant barrage of cars and motorcycles up and down the road all day and night. The cabin was fairly noise proof, but the highway does distract from the beautiful ambiance and peaceful serenity. Maybe stay further into the property to avoid being so close to the road. Although this entire property is right off the road.
Overall, we would stay here again, and it was a nice, peaceful weekend eacape. And the price was fairly reasonable, a smidge high for the road noise.
My momma and I (and our pups) have been going to RRC for nine years now. We do a yearly trip most falls. We've gone all different times during the year but we prefer the colors and the cool nights. It's gorgeous anytime of year though. Estes is a few minutes away up the canyon. James is absolutely amazing and we look forward to seeing him every time we come. If you desire to watch TV / movies, I suggest downloading movies to your laptop and bringing an HDMI cord, or bring a DVD player. The service does not work well at all. It cuts out a lot. It is in the middle of the mtns which makes sense. Otherwise, everything is incredible and we always look forward to going back. Everything is always clean and feels like home for us. The hot tub is a huge plus and we're in it every day.
Such a beautiful place! The private hot tub was perfect!! The owners are incredibly nice and helpful. It's close to Estes Park if you need to grab anything and close to tons of trails. It's right off the river so you can sit by there with some morning coffee, and unwind in the evening with some brews or wine. I enjoyed my stay and would love to go back some day!
Great cabins at a very reasonable rate! We very much enjoyed our stay. James (and Jeanine) were very friendly and accomodating. We were able to take both our kitten, and the dog, so definitely pet-friendly. We stayed in Cabin 1 (Lady of the River) and had a nice little fenced in area for the dog to hang out. The hot tub was great, little kitchenette area for food, bed was comfortable, and the town itself was only about 5-6 minutes away while the cabin still being in the canyon itself. We would definitely recommend, and we do plan on visiting again in the future! Thank you for a great get-away!
My son and I were working in Estes and came across these very cozy cabins. The beds were comfy, the kitchen was very nice, the heat worked well and the hot water made that shower oh so nice. The views of the river was quite breath taking. We will be back!!
